Xtracycle’s OmniTierra gets a proper debut at Sea Otter
Titanium, cargo, and enough adjustability to make fit any adventure.
Bikepacking.com’s Sea Otter coverage says the OmniTierra is now up for pre-order, with a titanium frame, Pinion Smart.Shift, Gates belt drive, and fat-bike hub spacing if you want to go for maximum cargo capacity. The fun part here is that it’s not pretending to be a normal bike; it’s a long-haul, dogpacking-friendly, all-terrain problem-solver with a very specific audience.
Lots of pix if you like dogs!

[UPDATE] The Alaska Fat Bike Expedition Ends at Unalakleet After three weeks on the ice and trail, Rozell and Wagner fly home from the Bering Sea coast — 515 miles deep, Nome out of reach.
The meltwater got them. After last week's report placing Ned Rozell and Forest Wagner in Kaltag with the hardest stretch seemingly behind them, the 90-mile Kaltag-to-Unalakleet portage trail turned to Swiss cheese. Runnels, percolation columns, four days pinned in a BLM cabin — and 16 miles that took 12 hours to cover. They made it to Unalakleet under their own power and called it at 515 miles. Not Nome, but not nothing. Rozell's write-up is the best thing you'll read this week.

Otso Fenrir Ti update
Not a pure fat-bike release, but very much in the wheelhouse for fat-bike riders who also drift into bikepacking, mixed-surface wandering, and “this route looked fine on the map” behavior. Solidly a Plus Bike.

7. Random Fat / Wild Card

Visit Norway's fatbiking guide (https://www.visitnorway.com/things-to-do/outdoor-activities/fatbiking/) is a solid overview of the fat-bike scene across Norway, and it's worth a bookmark for any rider thinking about a winter trip. The season runs November through May in Alta (Northern Norway), which guides describe as unusually flat terrain - good prep trails, well-used routes, and a real fat-bike community already in place.
That's the dose for this week. The Rozell and Wagner trip is over, some interesting Ti bikes, and beach season is opening up at exactly the right time. Forward this to someone who's been talking about "getting back on the fat bike" all winter. Now's the moment.
